I appreciate the ability to get my monthly statement via a download, but the file document that is transmitted does not have a meaningful or useful name.
I have written a suggestion containing some graphics that describes the problem and includes a description of changes I would like to see, which would make the file document more user friendly.
Is there any interest in making a change such as this?? If so, I would be happy to transmit it to you (BECU). Unfortunately, there is no way to transmit it using this messaging system, as I cannot make an attachment to a message. [TEXT FROM MY SUGGESTION IS BELOW, BUT SCREENSHOTS/JPG DO NOT COPY] BECU eStatement NAMING CONVENTION
When using online banking, after successfully logging in, the I see the following screen
[SCREENSHOT JPG NOT COPIED - UNABLE TO INSERT IMAGE USING CAMERA ICON ABOVE] Of course, I have truncated it to omit specific account information. When I click on the “View eStatements” button, the screen below is displayed: [SCREENSHOT JPG NOT COPIED - UNABLE TO INSERT IMAGE USING CAMERA ICON ABOVE] After selecting the statement to be viewed, and the button [indicated above by the blue arrow] is clicked, the PDF is downloaded to my PC, which opens the PDF reader. As you can see, the file name given by the BECU online-system is “eStatement (nn), in this case, “22”. This naming convention is not user friendly. [SCREENSHOT JPG NOT COPIED - UNABLE TO INSERT IMAGE USING CAMERA ICON ABOVE] There is adequate information available to permit construction of a more meaningful and user friendly file name. Specifically, using the last 6 digits of the account number and statement-date, assembled in the form “BECUacctxx-yyyy/mm” would be a logical and meaningful expression of the content of the file. This would permit the user to save the downloaded file in a folder with other such files in a logically organized and easily retrievable order.
