Coin counters

I would love to see coin counters make rounds to outlying stores so that we can deposit our change. This would boost deposits too!

This would make building savings a lot easier.

Great Idea, I always save coins in a jar when I empty my pockets at the end of the day. About once a year I take them to a local CU and get between $50-$80, no hassles with counting and rolling. The coinstar machines at the stores take about 8 cents per each dollar deposited and that can really add up if you have a big deposit. I think this would also help kids learn to save.

I really like this idea!  It doesn't have to be everywhere but a few branches should have it and travel as necessary!

@jonwmcfarland84- Thanks for chiming in and building on the idea! Have coinstar- will travel... what a great concept! We're still exploring the feasibility of being able to execute on something like this, thanks for your support! Cheers, KristinA

Even if I had to travel to another branch out of my area, swinging by the Tukwila office (for instance) one or a few times a year with my family to change our coins would totally be worth it!

I'd like to add it would be great to have an option to perhaps donate the coins to charities that we can select on the machine.  Don't know if that's possible, but I'd love that and would use it!!

Hi @smdiabla Welcome to the MIX and thank you so much for coming to see us at the Member Summit! You're in luck! We do have Coinstar available in our Tukwila branch. Your idea to have the option to donate to charity is not currently available but is definitely something to explore! Thanks! JohnS

Hi @smdiabla. I'm excited to let you know that you can now donate to charities through our coinstar machines! The option to donate will be available on the welcome screen and will walk you through the process. Thanks for sharing this idea! JohnS
