Bring balance transfer process up-to-date

As someone who's recently completed a balance transfer to my BECU Visa I'd love to see the process simplified and brought up-to-date, and I'm sure other members would as well. With most financial institutions, cardholders can handle balance transfers on their own as part of their online account management features, with the option of paying the creditors directly or even having the money direct deposited into their checking account to use as they see fit. With BECU, members have to call, reach a representative, answer a ton of security questions, and provide the physical mailing address of each creditor so that BECU can **mail a physical check** for the creditor to hopefully receive 7-10 business days later, assuming the phone representative entered everything correctly and nothing gets lost in the mail. This process is extremely outdated and frustrating to me as a member and I'd love to see it fixed ASAP.

Has there been progress made on this? I just got a BECU credit card, assuming I could seamlessly transfer my current credit card balance over via the online management portal. The process above sounds like a huge hassle and pain. I'd rather wait till I can just do it via an online form.

I 100% agree with the OP. it has been 2 years and this is STILL not done Robot Sad

I have had around a dozen CC and this is the first one that does NOT have a "balance transfer" button

I'm a bit flummoxed how this hasn't been implemented yet. Even my old, out-of-date credit union had this ability. Another upvote for this.

I'm glad to find this thread. I recently received my BECU credit card and have been assuming this feature was somewhere I wasn't seeing it, as the thought that this option just didn't exist wouldn't have crossed my mind. BECU leads the way on so many things, time to uplevel the credit card experience to, at a minimum, match competitors. Please make a seamless balance transfer option. It makes no sense that I have to go through this with a representative. That's how I did things well over 10 years ago.

I 100% agree with OP, it’s a tremendous hassle to waste a BECU employee’s time in order to get this type of transaction completed. This should be a simple self-serve option online.
