Low cost index funds

Please ensure low cost index funds (less than .05% expense ratio) are the only option in this digital investment offering.  As a credit union I feel BECU has more responsibility here to ensure the members are not fleeced of their retirement savings.  Expensive actively managed mutual funds do not fare better historically than inexpensive index funds and introduce risk that most investors do not need.  Individual stock picking is also not recommended for most investors.  However a simple 3 fund portfolio of index funds with just slight adjustments to AA (asset allocation) as the investor ages is the most inexpensive and effective way to save for retirement.

@jenniferstipe- Thanks for kicking off the ideas! Low cost is definitely on the radar, and you're right, as a credit union we care most about our members financial health and future. Cheers, KristinA

@jenniferstipe- Apologies for the status confusion! Be assured these ideas are under review as we're working with the business owner to learn more about the solution! Cheers, KristinA
